We offer a relaxed atmosphere to help keep your horse and rider comfortable while learning. The happiness of you and your horse comes first at Potomac Stables. Our trainer is able to teach hunter jumper or Dressage. We are dedicated to teaching the whole horse. The horse must be able to help achieve the riders goals which is why we understand each horse individually.
Scheduling is done through the instructor of Potomac Stables. Lessons are available both evenings and weekends and are based on the availability of horses and the instructor.
All riders must wear long, tight fitting pants, boots or sturdy shoes with a small heel and a riding helmet with a chin strap. We strongly recommend the purchase of an ASTM (Standard #F1163) and SEI tested helmet. Riders without proper gear will not be permitted to ride and will forfeit the lesson.
To cancel a lesson, you must call at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not cancel within 24 hours in advance you will forfeit the lesson. In the event of poor weather conditions, you may cancel up to 2 hours prior to your lesson time.
- All riders and guests must sign the Release Form before handling or riding any horse.
- Riders under the age of 18 cannot ride without an adult present. (Parents are responsible to insure that an adult is present.)
